How to save money on a holiday

Many people overlook the opportunities on their doorsteps. Britain has some of the most beautiful countryside in the world and it’s just outside your front door. Travelling in Britain doesn’t mean that it has to be boring or expensive. Caravanning is the perfect way to explore Britain on a budget.

The only thing that can hold you back is the cost of buying a caravan, but not anymore. You can rent a caravan or campervan for a small amount of money and decide whether it is for you. If it isn’t then you can just give the campervan back, which is not as easy if you have bought the vehicle.

There are many plus points to caravanning. It is great for all ages, just think of the Volkswagen campervans from the 60s and tell me camper vanning is not cool! Older people enjoy caravanning because they can take all their home comforts with them. Younger people enjoy it because they can take off and camp in fields, they can go anywhere they want including Europe. Young families enjoy it because it is relatively cheap and hassle free.

Caravanning is great for families because you can just pack up and get in the car. Caravan sites are very child friendly and there are always other kids running around. There don’t have to be any tantrums and calls of ‘are we there yet?’ Caravanning can be carefree. If you plan to go in the UK there are no language barriers and there is no need to exchange money before you go.

A caravan is a home away from home, you can take all the things you can’t live without and you don’t have to worry about recording your favourite programmes. The biggest worry about going away is what you are going to do with your pets, not with caravanning; you can bring them with you. Having your pets with you will only heighten your holiday experience especially if you are going on a walking holiday.

There are hundreds of different caravan sites scattered across the country all with great amenities and friendly staff. Sometimes it is more comfortable to stay in a caravan than a hotel.

If the whim took you, you could take the caravan abroad, although you should check with the caravan provider before you do this. There are many caravan sites across Europe and driving between locations can be the best way to see the country. You can get off the tourist trails and explore the wide open countryside. You can hop from rural village to city, you can do wherever you want.

So why not investigate campervan rental and discover a whole new world of opportunities.
